Sony Vegas: Empty Events

In the case that you need to insert an empty event in the timeline, position the cursor where you’d like to insert the event and go to Insert > Empty Event. If an area is selected, the duration of the empty event will be as long as the area selected. The same can be done in audio tracks. Empty events can be placed in areas to separate video or audio and can be used with some event FX as an overlay.

Sony Vegas: Quickly Select Entire Project

To quickly select the entire duration of a project in Sony Vegas, simply Double-Click the Marker Bar. All events and portions of events within the selection are highlighted. Especially useful when selecting a region for rendering.

Sony Vegas: Duplicate Timeline Events

Quickly duplicate any timeline events in Sony Vegas by holding Ctrl while dragging the media over to your target position. To duplicate multiple events at once, select them all and Ctrl — drag them to your target position. Once you let go, you’ll have an exact copy of those events.
