We all know, there’s no easy way of creating guides in Photoshop. Every time you need to set up guides, you need to go to View, New Guide and enter the position. You could make it a little easier on yourself by setting up a shortcut key for guides, but you’d still need to open it over and over again for each new guide. What if there was an easier way? Well, there is! GuideGuide is a free Photoshop extension that’ll make it much easier to create guides. In the GuideGuide window, you’re able to set up pixel accurate columns, rows, midpoints, and baselines based on your document or selection size. You’re able to input the position of the top/bottom/left/right margins. Set a number of columns or rows you need. Set up column/row width and even set a gutter for both the columns and rows in your document or selection.

Happy with your guides? You can save them as a set to be used later.

Need to clear all guides in a document. Easy, there’s a clear button that’ll remove ’em all! As usual, you could always hide them by hitting Ctrl-H or Cmd-H if on a Mac.

You can find a documents midpoints with a click of a button.

GuideGuide is a very simple Photoshop extension that’ll work in CS4 and CS5 versions.

Ever experience this error? You make some changes in the Photoshop preferences, close out and when you try opening it again, you get the error, “Could not open a scratch file because the file is locked…”

This is a very simple fix. All you need to do is open Photoshop and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift while it’s starting up. You’ll then get another window asking, “Delete the Adobe Photoshop settings file?” Click, “Yes”. This will in turn, delete the Photoshop settings file and will allow it to open.

As requested, in this tutorial, I will show you two different methods on making it look like you took your photos with a fisheye lens. The first method is done by applying a Spherize filter which can be used under some circumstances but the second method is a much more effective way by using the Warp tool which is used in most cases. Thanks for Watching.

In this quick tip, I will show you how to toggle palette visibility and how to fit your window to full screen. Increase the size of you work area by toggling off the palettes using the Tab key. Hover over the edges of the screen to bring back palettes, which will then disappear again when the mouse is moved away. To fit to full screen, cycle through various full screen modes by pressing the F key.
