Thanks a lot, but I have used Philip’s script for many years, but now with Sony Vegas 13 it has stopped working correctly!
Can anyone work out why?

Thanks for the article! Vegas Pro is the most versatile video editor that I have ever used and scripting is a very powerful feature! I'm happy user of Vegasaur. Its tools can close all sort of gaps, including gaps accross multiple tracks. But it is quite pricey
