FYI… it is if you have nested projects. Figured this out after hours of trying. For others having problems, if you have nested projects you will have errors.

Sometimes things don’t export right from Vegas to xml, for instance when you have a video clip on top of another clip on the same track. You will sometimes notice it only exports things to a certain point and nothing else. That spot is where your problem is. You can even check within vegas by re-importing the xml file

Clearly I have to convert the clips to something else that Resolve can read, but I have tried batch converting the mts source files, and I’ve tried batch converting the timeline clips to something resolve can “see” but for some reason Resolve still won’t open anything when i try to open the XML file and just comes up with an error. I can open batch converted files individually in Resolve.

I haven’t used xml before so this is pretty new to me.
