<p>In this tip, learn how to sample colors outside of Photoshop with the Eyedropper tool.</p>
<h2>Sample Colors Outside of Photoshop</h2>
<p><a href="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/ps-color-picker.jpg" data-rel="lightbox-image-0" data-rl_title="" data-rl_caption="" title=""><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8540" src="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/ps-color-picker.jpg" alt="Color sample in Photoshop" width="976" height="490" srcset="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/ps-color-picker.jpg 976w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/ps-color-picker-300x151.jpg 300w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/ps-color-picker-364x183.jpg 364w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/ps-color-picker-768x386.jpg 768w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/ps-color-picker-100x50.jpg 100w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/ps-color-picker-700x351.jpg 700w" sizes="(max-width: 976px) 100vw, 976px" /></a></p>
<p><strong>1.</strong> Open the color picker to activate the Eyedropper tool or activate the Eyedropper tool from the Tools panel.</p>
<p><strong>2.</strong> With the Eyedropper tool active, click inside Photoshop and drag outside the window to the color you want to sample. You will see the color update with the position of the Eyedropper.</p>
<p><strong>3.</strong> Let go of the mouse button and your selected color will be chosen in Photoshop.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s it! Maybe this can help save you some time in the future.</p>
