<p><iframe title="Photoshop: Negative Illusion" width="719" height="404" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/9ZzNbgjezwk?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>Stare at the black X in the image below. After about 15 seconds of staring at the photo below, it&#8217;ll change to a black and white version. Don&#8217;t worry, this isn&#8217;t one of those scary photos where the monster jumps and screams at you, I promise. What do you see?<br />
<img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3763" style="border-style: initial; border-color: initial; margin-top: 0.4em;" title="LandscapeIllusion" src="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/LandscapeIllusion.gif" alt="" width="650" height="436" /></p>
<p>You should of seen the photo in color when it turned to black and white. Weird, huh?  Today, we&#8217;re going to take a look at creating this Negative Illusion effect in Photoshop! You&#8217;ll learn how to create a simple animation to create the .gif you see above.</p>
<p>We&#8217;ll start off by opening a photo in Photoshop. <strong>File &gt; Open.</strong> Navigate to the photo you chose and open it up.<span style="text-align: center;"> </span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-3772" title="Open Image" src="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0007.png" alt="" width="668" height="563" srcset="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0007.png 742w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0007-300x253.png 300w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0007-561x473.png 561w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0007-364x307.png 364w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0007-608x512.png 608w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0007-57x48.png 57w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0007-114x96.png 114w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0007-313x264.png 313w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0007-600x505.png 600w" sizes="(max-width: 668px) 100vw, 668px" /></p>
<p>Double click the background layer to turn it into a &#8220;real&#8221; layer. Name it what you&#8217;d like and <strong>click OK</strong>.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3770" title="New Layer" src="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0009.png" alt="" width="431" height="158" srcset="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0009.png 431w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0009-300x110.png 300w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0009-364x133.png 364w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0009-131x48.png 131w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0009-262x96.png 262w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0009-313x115.png 313w" sizes="(max-width: 431px) 100vw, 431px" /></p>
<p>Next, with the layer selected, hit <strong>Ctrl-J or Cmd-J</strong> on a Mac to duplicate this layer.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3768" title="Duplicate Layer" src="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0012.png" alt="" width="255" height="298" srcset="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0012.png 255w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0012-41x48.png 41w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0012-82x96.png 82w" sizes="(max-width: 255px) 100vw, 255px" /></p>
<p>We need to Invert this copied layer. To do that, go to <strong>Image &gt; Adjustments &gt; Invert</strong> or use the shortcut key <strong>Ctrl-I or Cmd-I</strong> on a Mac.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-3767" title="NegIllusion-0013" src="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0013.jpg" alt="" width="647" height="362" srcset="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0013.jpg 1078w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0013-235x132.jpg 235w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0013-300x168.jpg 300w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0013-768x430.jpg 768w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0013-1024x574.jpg 1024w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0013-192x108.jpg 192w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0013-384x216.jpg 384w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0013-1-364x205.jpg 364w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0013-561x314.jpg 561w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0013-1-758x425.jpg 758w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0013-608x341.jpg 608w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0013-86x48.jpg 86w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0013-171x96.jpg 171w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0013-313x175.jpg 313w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0013-1-600x336.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 647px) 100vw, 647px" /></p>
<p>Lets go ahead and hide this layer by clicking the little eye(<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3766" title="Eye" src="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0014.png" alt="" width="16" height="16" />) icon to the left of the layer and select your original un-inverted layer.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-3765 aligncenter" title="Original Layer" src="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0015.jpg" alt="" width="255" height="298" srcset="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0015.jpg 255w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0015-41x48.jpg 41w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0015-82x96.jpg 82w" sizes="(max-width: 255px) 100vw, 255px" /></p>
<p>Next, Click the <strong>Create new fill or adjustment layer icon (<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3789" title="New Adjustment Layer" src="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0016.png" alt="" width="20" height="17" />)</strong> and choose, &#8220;<strong>Black and White</strong>&#8220;. This should create a new Black and White adjustment layer above your original color layer making it black and white.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3788" title="Hide Layer" src="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0017.jpg" alt="" width="255" height="298" srcset="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0017.jpg 255w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0017-41x48.jpg 41w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0017-82x96.jpg 82w" sizes="(max-width: 255px) 100vw, 255px" /></p>
<p>Now if you click the eye icon next to the inverted layer to reveal it, you&#8217;ll see the inverted image and when you click it again, you&#8217;ll see a black and white image.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-3787" style="color: #666666; font-style: normal; border-style: initial; border-color: initial; text-align: center;" title="Black and White" src="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0018.jpg" alt="" width="647" height="362" srcset="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0018.jpg 1078w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0018-235x132.jpg 235w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0018-300x168.jpg 300w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0018-768x430.jpg 768w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0018-1024x574.jpg 1024w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0018-192x108.jpg 192w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0018-384x216.jpg 384w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0018-1-364x205.jpg 364w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0018-561x314.jpg 561w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0018-1-758x425.jpg 758w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0018-608x341.jpg 608w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0018-86x48.jpg 86w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0018-171x96.jpg 171w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0018-313x175.jpg 313w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0018-1-600x336.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 647px) 100vw, 647px" /></p>
<p>You can add a little dot or X somewhere in the middle so the viewer has something to stare at. For an X, just go to the text tool and type an &#8220;X&#8221; and position it where you want it. Go to the ellipse tool in the shapes to draw out a circle for a circle.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-3786" title="X" src="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0019.jpg" alt="" width="647" height="362" srcset="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0019.jpg 1078w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0019-235x132.jpg 235w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0019-300x168.jpg 300w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0019-768x430.jpg 768w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0019-1024x574.jpg 1024w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0019-192x108.jpg 192w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0019-384x216.jpg 384w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0019-1-364x205.jpg 364w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0019-561x314.jpg 561w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0019-1-758x425.jpg 758w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0019-608x341.jpg 608w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0019-86x48.jpg 86w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0019-171x96.jpg 171w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0019-313x175.jpg 313w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0019-1-600x336.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 647px) 100vw, 647px" /></p>
<p>Now, we&#8217;re ready to animate this! First, we need to open the animation window. This can be done by going to <strong>Window &gt; Animation</strong>. Your animation window might be at the &#8220;<strong>Timeline</strong>&#8221; view and look like this.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021.png" data-rel="lightbox-image-0" data-rl_title="" data-rl_caption=""><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-3784 aligncenter" title="" src="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021.png" alt="" width="661" height="116" srcset="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021.png 1101w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021-300x53.png 300w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021-768x135.png 768w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021-1024x180.png 1024w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021-561x99.png 561w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021-364x64.png 364w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021-758x134.png 758w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021-608x107.png 608w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021-272x48.png 272w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021-545x96.png 545w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021-313x55.png 313w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021-600x106.png 600w" sizes="(max-width: 661px) 100vw, 661px" /></a></p>
<p>We need to change this into &#8220;<strong>Frames</strong>&#8221; view by clicking the little icon to the bottom right of the animation window.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021arrow.png" data-rel="lightbox-image-1" data-rl_title="" data-rl_caption=""><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-3790 aligncenter" title="" src="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021arrow.png" alt="" width="661" height="116" srcset="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021arrow.png 1101w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021arrow-300x53.png 300w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021arrow-768x135.png 768w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021arrow-1024x180.png 1024w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021arrow-561x99.png 561w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021arrow-364x64.png 364w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021arrow-758x134.png 758w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021arrow-608x107.png 608w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021arrow-272x48.png 272w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021arrow-545x96.png 545w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021arrow-313x55.png 313w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NegIllusion-0021arrow-600x106.png 600w" sizes="(max-width: 661px) 100vw, 661px" /></a></p>

<h3><span style="color: #ff0000;">UPDATE: Pskiller.com is now closed. You can use <span style="color: #000000;"><a href="http://imageedited.com/"><span style="color: #000000;">http://imageedited.com/</span></a></span> as an alternative.</span></h3>
<p>Nowadays Photoshop is used in just about every photo I&#8217;ve seen. You probably don&#8217;t go a day without seeing at least one Photoshop outcome. People are starting to get a lot better at making you believe that what you see in pictures are real. Sometimes it can be extremely difficult to tell if a photo has been Photoshopped or not. That&#8217;s where <a href="http://errorlevelanalysis.com/">Image Error Level Analysis</a> comes in. This simple tool helps you analyze photos telling you whether they&#8217;ve been manipulated in any way. It&#8217;s as simple as pasting the link to the photo you want analyzed and it&#8217;ll show you the differing error levels throughout an image. Therefore, strongly suggesting some form of digital manipulation.</p>
<blockquote>
<h2>Explanation</h2>
<blockquote><p>“Error level analysis (ELA) works by intentionally resaving the image at a known error rate, such as 95%, and then computing the difference between the images. If there is virtually no change, then the cell has reached its local minima for error at that quality level. <p>-Neal Krawetz, Ph.D. <a title="hackerfactor.com" href="http://www.hackerfactor.com/">http://www.hackerfactor.com</a></p></blockquote>
<p>So, I gave it a try. Here&#8217;s the original photo of a dragonfly I uploaded that hasn&#8217;t been touched.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/IMG_3327small.jpg" data-rel="lightbox-image-0" data-rl_title="" data-rl_caption=""><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-1671" title="" src="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/IMG_3327small.jpg" alt="" width="560" height="373" srcset="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/IMG_3327small.jpg 800w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/IMG_3327small-600x400.jpg 600w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/IMG_3327small-300x199.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">..and I came out with this analysis below.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">You can see the final outcome at the site here: <a href="http://errorlevelanalysis.com/permalink/5521aed/">http://errorlevelanalysis.com/permalink/5521aed/</a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/5521aed_enhanced.jpeg" data-rel="lightbox-image-1" data-rl_title="" data-rl_caption=""><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1676" title="" src="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/5521aed_enhanced.jpeg" alt="" width="560" height="373" srcset="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/5521aed_enhanced.jpeg 800w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/5521aed_enhanced-600x400.jpeg 600w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/5521aed_enhanced-300x199.jpeg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px" /></a>Here it looks pretty normal. Now lets take a look at a modified version below.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Here&#8217;s the modified version of the same dragonfly. I enlarged the eyes and moved the back up a bit.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/IMG_3327smallmod1.jpg" data-rel="lightbox-image-2" data-rl_title="" data-rl_caption=""><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1678" title="" src="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/IMG_3327smallmod1.jpg" alt="" width="560" height="373" srcset="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/IMG_3327smallmod1.jpg 800w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/IMG_3327smallmod1-600x400.jpg 600w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/IMG_3327smallmod1-300x199.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px" /></a>Below you&#8217;ll see the analysis.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">You can see the final outcome at the site here: <a href="http://errorlevelanalysis.com/permalink/3e7458c/">http://errorlevelanalysis.com/permalink/3e7458c/</a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/3e7458c_enhanced.jpeg" data-rel="lightbox-image-3" data-rl_title="" data-rl_caption=""><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1679" title="" src="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/3e7458c_enhanced.jpeg" alt="" width="560" height="373" srcset="https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/3e7458c_enhanced.jpeg 800w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/3e7458c_enhanced-600x400.jpeg 600w, https://www.robertsproductions.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/3e7458c_enhanced-300x199.jpeg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px" /></a> The eyes now show up darker indicating a suspicious area on the image.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Overall, I think this is a very useful tool in helping you figure out whether a photo has been altered in any way. Of course, this won&#8217;t be giving you any exact answers. But, at least it will give you some suspicion to work with if a photo has indeed been altered.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">This can also be done in Photoshop by switching through the different color layers in your photo. If your photo is in RGB mode you can really tell a fake by switching through the Red, Green, and Blue channel layers. That way, you&#8217;ll be able to see more lighting differences in the photo helping you better tell if the photo has been altered or had things added.</p>
<p><a name="pskiller"></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Additional Method:</strong></p>
<p><center><iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/_xQ_tag0ArU?rel=0" frameborder="0" width="640" height="390"></iframe></center><br />
<a href="http://www.pskiller.com/">PSKiller.com</a> will literally let you know if a photo has been Photoshopped or not. Either upload your photo or add a link and it will let you know if anything suspicious has been found within the image file. This tool for me, is easier to use than the analysis method above since it actually tells you what it finds.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">These are just a few ways to notice imperfections. If you have any other good tips on detecting a fake, please leave a comment below!</p>
<h3 style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #ff0000;">UPDATE: Pskiller.com is now <span style="text-decoration: underline;">closed</span>. You can use <a href="http://imageedited.com/">http://imageedited.com/</a> as an alternative.</span></h3>

<p><span>Ever wonder if there was any way to reduce freckles on someone&#8217;s face in a photograph? In this tutorial, I will show you one of the most easiest and most effective way to reduce freckles using Photoshop. All you have to do is open up your photo, duplicate the layer, add a &#8220;Gaussian Blur&#8221;, open the &#8220;History&#8221; pallet, click on the duplicate layer state to return your photo to what it looked like when you havent applied the gaussian blur, click in the first column next to gaussian blur state, select the &#8220;History Brush Tool&#8221;, change the mode to, &#8220;Lighten&#8221;, bring the opacity down to 50 or 60, and paint over all of your freckles. That&#8217;s It! If the face looks to clean, you can always bring the opacity down further.</span></p>
