Sony Vegas: Override Window Docking

When moving dialogue windows around in Sony Vegas, they start docking in place. Overtime, this may get frustrating because the window isn’t positioning exactly where you want it to go. To stop this behavior from happening, hold Ctrl while dragging the window. It will move freely and no longer dock in place.

Sony Vegas: Full Timeline View

Whether you’re working on a small screen or large screen, sometimes you might still want to fully expand the timeline to view all your edits and tracks. If you press F11 on your keyboard, this will hide everything but the timeline. Still not enough? Press Ctrl+F11 and this will hide everything along with the track header area on the left. The timeline now occupies the entire Sony Vegas Pro window. Press Ctrl+F11 to reset everything back to normal.

If you’re looking to have a sleek aminated application launcher similar to the Mac or just looking for something different and free, RocketDock may be your best bet. As noted on their site, It provides a nice clean interface to drop shortcuts on for easy access and organization.
